Frequently asked questions about paper bags

What size paper bag do I need?

Choose the size based on what needs to go inside. For small items (cosmetics, jewelry, gifts), a compact bag is sufficient; for clothing, books, or groceries, choose a roomier paper carrier bag with sufficient height and side gusset. Measure your largest product and allow some margin in width, height, and side gusset, so that the bag fills easily and closes neatly.

What is the difference between kraft and white paper?

Kraft (brown) paper has a natural, sturdy appearance and is often chosen for a sustainable or artisanal look. White paper looks sleeker and more luxurious and is ideal if you want a neutral, well-kept appearance. Both are available in different versions; the choice is primarily a matter of aesthetics.

Are paper bags recyclable and sustainable?

Yes. Paper bags are recyclable and are a plastic-free alternative that fits within SUP legislation regarding single-use plastics. This makes them an environmentally conscious choice compared to plastic carrier bags.

How much can a paper carrier bag carry?

The carrying capacity depends on the grammage of the paper (expressed in g/m²). Lighter paper bags are fine for light gifts and small items; for heavier contents such as books or multiple products, choose a higher grammage and a sturdy handle. Therefore, match the grammage to the weight the bag needs to carry.

Can I order cheap paper bags in bulk?

Yes. Through our wholesale, you can order paper bags cheaply in larger quantities, so you get a better price per unit. Ideal for shops, hospitality, and events that regularly need carrier bags.
